Raising up faithful Bible teachers across the Himalayas.

In Nepal, misunderstandings about Christian faith and doctrine sometimes lead people to false beliefs. As a result, our partner Batsal has been training pastors to accurately teach the Word. Earlier this year, he held a seminar for thirty English–speaking pastors and leaders. 

He taught them how to prepare fresh and faithful sermons which will feed their flocks from God’s Word. Each attendee was given an English Bible with chain references, historical backgrounds and Biblical maps. The leaders were very grateful for the teaching and testified that it was the first time they had experienced anything like this! Many shared that although they had no opportunity to attend Bible college or seminary, they now felt confident to teach biblical sermons.

Batsal went on to hold a similar Nepali seminar for around seventy other leaders, which was a great help to those who attended. Each received a Nepali Bible, and gospel literature was freely available. The clear teaching on the doctrine of the cross was particularly appreciated, and Batsal was asked to come back again. Not only that, but leaders from other districts are now requesting this teaching too!
